Giving Back: DV Participates in the Heart and Stroke Ride/Walk/Run for Heart Event
Jun 10, 2021 | Blawg
On June 6, 2021, Daoust Vukovich staff members laced up their running shoes in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Due to the impact of COVID 19, this year’s Heart and Stroke event was held virtually. Twenty staff members from Daoust Vukovich proudly shared their heart and either walked, ran, or rode in a heart shaped route around their neighborhoods. The DV team walked a total of 319.32 kilometers!
The DV team raised a total of $4,531.00. We look forward to participating next year and hope that the Big Bike Ride will make a comeback! Thank you to all who participated, donated, or fundraised. Together, we are helping beat heart disease and stroke.
Every five minutes, someone in this county dies from heart disease, stroke, and vascular cognitive impairment. With the pandemic, donations and funding for lifesaving research have never been at a greater risk. The funds raised from the Heart and Stroke Ride/Walk/Run event help to ensure that critical research can continue to prevent heart disease and stroke, save lives, and support survivors and their families.
