COVID-19 Update #4
May 29, 2020 | Blawg
Over the past couple of months, the phrase “we’re all in this together” has taken on ever increasing significance. At every stage of the pandemic, we have been conscious of our community responsibility. We are continually reminded that our actions affect others. We are proud to be part of this great country which has been united in the fight against this virus. It looks like our efforts have paid off and we’re flattening the curve.
At Daoust Vukovich, we have been trying very hard to stand together by staying apart. We contacted you when physical distancing got underway, and we reached out again to say that we were continuing. Now, although we still seem to be in the middle of the event, perhaps we can start thinking that the worst of will soon be in the rear-view mirror.
When COVID-19 wreaked its rapid and profound change on the world, we adjusted our workflows and did what we could to stay positive. We knew that our clients were in the same boat. It was difficult to see the light, but we remained hopeful; hopeful that our efforts would be effective in flattening the curve and hopeful that we could figure out safe and healthy ways to be together. We continue to work this out but, with modern technology, we seem to have irrevocably adapted to the new reality. Most of our personnel continue to work remotely, supporting each other and our clients, as the safety of our employees and community has always ranked highest in priority. We have also tried our best to continue meeting expectations and providing services. Basically, we’re doing alright.
But we have to admit, it’s nice to notice glimmers of new hope: for brighter days ahead. All the statistics and conversations point to a reason for optimism. The key trends are going in the right direction and everyone seems to be united in their belief that the only way through this crisis is – together.
In the coming weeks, the weather will get warmer and the sun will shine brighter. We will keep doing our part to get to a better place. (We may not know what that place will look like, but we want to be there together!)
To those we have spoken to in the past couple of months, it’s been great to hear from you. To those we haven’t heard from, we would like to reconnect in the days and weeks ahead. We hope you are staying safe and healthy, just as we are, and doing your best to figure things out, just as we are. Onwards!
