Alice joined Daoust Vukovich LLP in 1998 as a Senior Law Clerk, with primary responsibilities in commercial leasing.
Alice began her career in
the legal profession in 1988. She supported legal counsel to the
Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto in presentations to Metro Council
and the Ontario Municipal Board. In 1989, she joined The Cadillac
Fairview Corporation Limited and was promoted to a Law Clerk position in
1991. At Cadillac Fairview, Alice eventually took responsibility for
lease negotiation and documentation for major shopping centres in the
company's Canadian portfolio, and she also provided continuing support
for new law clerks and training for legal support staff. In 1996, she
joined a suburban law firm as a Senior Paralegal, where she provided lease documentation and negotiation services to major
Canadian and American retailers as well as for various landlords.
Alice has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology which was conferred on
her by the University of the Philippines in 1983. Before she came to
Canada, she worked at the Canadian Embassy in the Philippines, with
responsibilities in entrepreneurial and investor immigration.
While Alice's in-depth experience on both sides of the landlord-tenant
equation is the cornerstone of her expertise in the commercial leasing
field, she has also had more formalized training in Canada and the U.S.
in personnel management, lease administration, and tenant database and
administrative functions.
